ELADE
Contemporary Art by Elad Eisenstein

My Story
Elad’s paintings are forged through direct contact, with paint pressed, smeared, and sculpted by the bare hand. This tactile approach collapses the distance between artist and canvas, leaving behind marks that are as much fingerprints of presence as they are strokes of abstraction. Black, white, and gray dominate his compositions, fractured by sudden eruptions of colour that pulse like emotional interruptions within the field of gesture.
The work is raw yet deliberate: sweeping arcs, tangled intersections, and layered textures emerge from hand-driven movements that carry both urgency and restraint. Each canvas becomes a site of negotiation, between emotional immediacy and a strategic pause, between the rawness of material and the precision of form. His use of impasto and directional layering suggests both urgency and deliberation, as if each mark is a decision made under pressure. The result is work that feels alive—charged with the tension of unresolved questions and the beauty of deliberate imperfection.
Rooted in a background in architecture and urbanism, Elad’s work reflects a deep sensitivity to spatial logic, civic identity, and the choreography of movement. His compositions often resemble urban grids and sturctures under stress—fractured, reconfigured, and emotionally charged. The paintings don’t just sit on the wall; they assert themselves as spatial events, inviting viewers to navigate them like cityscapes, tracing ruptures, flows, and thresholds.
