The beautiful city of Bruges always comes up in my memories with feelings of calmness and grace. The attention to detail and celebration of the historic everyday is always there in every space, courtyard or street. On my way to Bruges memories float again, almost asking for a painting that is different, imagining the sense of surprise in places already seen, about to be experienced again in nuance through the eyes of those passing by.
